The difference.

I am truly holistic, with extensive hypnotherapy training as well as a strong scientific background as an occupational therapist in neurorehabilitation.

With my breadth of training, I take both an analytical and intuitive approach in my therapy sessions to heal the mind-body continuum.

What is hypnotherapy?

You have actually been in hypnosis several times today. Whether it’s driving on auto-pilot, feeling immersed in a movie or story, or daydreaming, your mind is simply more open to suggestions at these times. 

Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness where one has heightened awareness while also being profoundly relaxed. While meditation helps clear the mind, hypnosis creates change.

You’ll leave the session feeling relaxed, centered, and empowered towards change.

Group Workshops

Conducted online via Zoom. Workshops for topics include self-hypnosis, stress management, goal achievement, and past life regression.

Private In-Person

Attention: Currently unavailable as a safety measure during COVID-19. All private sessions are remote.

Private Online or Phone

One-on-one sessions conducted remotely so services are provided regardless of distance. Remote services are just as effective as in-person.

Hello. I’m Clarissa, your hypnotherapist.

I grew up drawing self-value from external sources, harboring a constant need to prove myself. Throughout most of my life, I struggled with body image issues, studied and worked compulsively, and lacked healthy boundaries between myself and others. Because of this, I studied the relationship between anxiety, perfectionism, and disordered eating at UC Berkeley for my psychology honors’ thesis, aiming to help myself and others become happier.

I went on to graduate school, earning a clinical doctorate at USC in occupational therapy. Along the way, I worked with a hypnotherapist and found profound peace, hope, and freedom from my lifelong issues. Amazed at the effectiveness of hypnotherapy, I sought to learn the craft, graduating with honors from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute (the first federally accredited college of hypnotherapy). I’m looking forward to guide you along your incredible journey.
